Open the builder
Sign in and you land on an empty canvas. It offers four ways to start:
- A prompt box that starts “Describe the voice agent you want…”.
- Suggestion chips just above the box. Clicking one sends it as your description, the same as typing it and pressing Send.
- A template gallery with ten complete agents: Clinic scheduling, Billing dispute, E-commerce orders, Real-estate leads, Bank card fraud, IT helpdesk, Roadside emergency, SaaS knowledge Q&A, Feedback survey, Insurance handoff.
- Start blank, which gives you a Persona, one Skill and an End node to fill in yourself.

Click a template card. The agent comes with a Persona, several Skills, tools and an End node already connected. Templates use a sample business, so expect to change names, hours and policies to match your business.

Find your way around
A new account opens agents in Simple: six steps in a column on the left. Who is the agent’s name, personality, language and voice. What it does lists the Skills in the order a call meets them; open one to edit it. Tools, After the call and Publish are set up in Advanced for now, and their steps take you there. On a computer the canvas sits next to the column and shows the same agent; click a card to bring its step into view.Advanced is the full canvas, and where existing accounts start: the agent as connected cards, left to right the Persona, then one or more Skills, branches where the conversation splits, and End where it hangs up. Tools hang off the Persona or a Skill. After-the-call steps hang off End. Click any card to open its editor on the right. Less common fields sit under More settings.Switch with Simple / Advanced in the toolbar, or under View in the agent menu on narrower screens. See Simple and Advanced.

Check readiness
Look at the pill in the top toolbar. In Simple each step also says how many things it has to check. Ready to test means you can talk to the agent now. Needs attention (N) lists what is missing, such as a Skill without an instruction or a Calendar tool without an event type. Errors block testing and publishing. Warnings do not, except a missing provider key, which blocks starting a Playground call until you add it in Settings.
5
Talk to it in the Playground
In Simple, click Open the Playground in the Test step; in Advanced, open Playground on the right rail. If anything needs attention, the same issues appear above the Start button. Choose a chat mode: Voice to speak, Type → Voice to type and hear replies, or Text only for a silent check. Fill in any required Test Variables. Click Start conversation.Use the Try saying suggestions to probe the agent. The transcript appears as you talk. Switch Diagnostics: Off to On at the bottom of the panel to see response times and which Skill is active. End the call when you are done, then Test again after each change.
6
Publish
Open Publish on the right rail in Advanced; the Publish step in Simple has Publish in Advanced, and once the agent is tested the toolbar’s next step is Publish in either view. Review the readiness list and click Publish this version. The success card gives you a share link that works for seven days. The toolbar pill changes to Published. If you edit the agent later it reads Changed since publish until you publish again.
7
Share
Open Share on the right rail in Advanced, or click the toolbar’s next step, Share, once the published version matches what you see, to make more links. Choose how long the link works for and, if you like, how many calls it allows, then click Create link. Anyone with the link can talk to the published version until it expires, runs out of calls or you revoke it under Active links. Phone numbers are managed from the Dashboard.
Make it yours
- Name and voice. Change Name or the Language in Simple’s Who step, or in the Persona’s editor in Advanced. The voice is picked under Voice (TTS) in the Persona’s editor; Change in Advanced in the Who step takes you there.
- What it says. Open a Skill in Simple’s What it does step, or select it in Advanced, and edit its Instruction. Keep it to what should happen in that phase. When To Use and the other routing fields matter only when several Skills could follow the same one.
- Tools. In Advanced, open Components on the right rail and add a Calendar, CRM, SMS or Human Handoff tool. Connect it to the Persona for all Skills, or to one Skill. Simple’s Tools step lists what the agent has and opens Advanced. Some tools need a key of your own. See Keys.
- Ask the AI. Type a change in the composer, such as “Add a Skill that collects an email address before booking”. It sits at the bottom of the canvas in Advanced and at the foot of the column in Simple. Each AI change is a version you can restore from Version history.
