The Calendar tool lets the agent check availability and book appointments through Cal.com. Cal.com sits in front of your real calendar: connect Google or Outlook inside Cal.com once, and every booking the agent makes lands there with confirmation emails and conflict protection.

Before you start

  1. In Cal.com, create or pick the event type the agent should book, for example “30-min consultation”.
  2. Note its numeric ID. It is in the event type’s address, for example /event-types/2334267.
  3. Create an API key under Cal.com Settings, Developer, API keys.

Add it

Tools are added in Advanced; in Simple, the Tools step’s Open in Advanced takes you there.
  1. Open Components on the right rail and click Calendar under Tools.
  2. Connect its output dot to the Persona, or to the one Skill that should book. Connecting it to a single “Booking” Skill keeps the agent from booking during other phases.
  3. Select the node. Enter the Event Type ID and the Timezone.
  4. Open Settings on the right rail and paste the Cal.com key, unless your workspace already covers it. See Keys.

Settings

How a booking goes

  1. The caller asks for an appointment. The agent checks availability for the dates they mention.
  2. Free slots come back grouped by day in your timezone, capped at the daily limit, so the agent can read them out.
  3. The agent offers times, then collects the caller’s full name and email.
  4. With Confirm Before Booking on, the agent repeats the slot and waits for a yes before booking. Booking sends real emails, so keep this on unless you have a reason not to.
  5. The agent confirms the booked time and tells the caller an email is on its way. If someone else took the slot in the meantime, the agent re-checks and offers another time.
On the canvas, the Calendar tool shows a spinner while it checks or books.

  • Appointment setting for clinics, salons, consultations and sales demos.
  • A reception line that ends with a booked meeting.
  • Booking limited to one Skill so the rest of the call stays on topic.
